Ardnamurchan Area on West Coast of Scotland - Places of interest:
The cottage is situated a stones throw from the river Shiel and is within walking distance of Loch Moidart and the sea. Hill walking, beautiful white sandy beaches, bird watching, boat trips, fishing, canoeing and lots more to see and do.
The islands of Mull and Skye are only a short ferry ride away and Fort William and Ben Nevis are about an hours drive.
Acharacle:
Acharacle has lots to offer for the holiday maker. It is a great
central location for for site seeing and getting around the Ardnamurchan
Peninsula and Moidart.
There are three hotels, local shops & childrens play area.

How to get to Acharacle:
From South... Just past Onich, on the way to Fort William, you will come to the Corran Ferry. Cross the Ferry - turn left along the A861, through Strontian village until you come to the Village of Salen - carry straight on for Acharacle (3 miles). Then continue on through Acharacle and Take the Shielfoot turn from the Acharacle side of Shiel Bridge and continue for approximately 1.75 miles along the road. As you round a sharp left hand bend, there are a number of houses on the river side of the road. We are the 3rd building along, on the right hand side, opposite an old croft house. Our gate is the second metal gate.. There is a sign saying 'Sgiath Bheag'
From North:
From Fort William take the Mallaig road - A830, past Glenfinnan. Until you come to Lochailort. Turn right for Acharacle (18 Miles approx.) Turn Right after the Shiel Bridge and follow directions as above.
